About Us
BSD is the amalgamation of the former Booth & McCarthy, its successor Booth & Strange and The Daniel Group, Attorneys at Law, P.C.. Booth & McCarthy was formed in June, 1999, by Daniel T. Booth and Christopher J. McCarthy. The office of Booth & McCarthy was located in Bridgeport, Harrison County, West Virginia, at the crossroads of Interstate 79 and U.S. Route 50 to provide the attorneys with easy access to the entirety of the state of West Virginia.
Locating in Harrison County allowed counsel closer proximity to those counties with the greatest population centers within the state. This ideal location allowed the attorneys of Booth & McCarthy ready access to all major population centers, and reduced the costs associated with pursuing debtors.
The office complex utilized by Booth & McCarthy/Booth & Strange (and now by BSD) has more than 2,500 square feet of office space with ample room to expand as needed. On site parking is available.
In 2010, at the request of its clientele, Booth & McCarthy opened an office in Winchester, Virginia. Since 2010, Booth & McCarthy/Booth & Strange has employed local attorneys and administrative staff at its Winchester office to provide the same service to its Virginia clientele as provided in West Virginia.
In 2016, Christopher J. McCarthy, a partner at Booth & McCarthy chose to run for election as Circuit Court Judge for Harrison County, West Virginia, and was elected to that position. After Mr. McCarthy took the bench, Mr. Booth joined forces with Jeffrey M. Strange creating Central Atlantic Legal Group, PLLC, trading as Booth & Strange, the successor to Booth & McCarthy.
